Brisas de la Jungla, was born because of the abundant wildlife which lay within its boundaries. When Rafael Calderon, proprietor and creator first arrived in the area in 1993, his desire was solely to reside in the tranquil province of Limón. However upon discovering the land of Brisas de la Jungla, he became enamoured with the various flora and fauna. It seemed a great pity to Don Rafael that this beauty was not being shared with the people of Costa Rica. Its previous use, being to harvest various crop plantations: Corn, Cassava, Beans and Coco-beans. After some reflection, he decided that by setting up a canopy tour, people could enjoy the scenic beauty and biodiversity, whilst taking part in a various exciting activities.

Don Rafael hired the most renowned and well established canopy operators to set up the cables and platforms. Taking every precaution to ensure as little damage was done to the precious terrain, yet also creating the highest and thrilling zip lines, resulting in a completely gripping experience.

Since its opening the company has continued to strive to better itself, offering an excellent service, fulfilling all the expectations of those who come to visit. We are delighted to announce the authenticity and originality in the services which we offer. This company is run by a Tica (Costa Rican) family. As such the company is proud to be able to share all the various customs and traditions of the country and its people.

Brisas de la Jungla aims to help the economic development of the surrounding communities, by creating new employment opportunities. The advice given on the tours aims to build a culture of preservation.
